Hello to you all and welcome to my place on the web. Thank you for calling in and I hope that you enjoy your stay. I am a self taught woodturner but have had a lot of tips and hints from some great guys down at the woodturning club. When I have the time I like to be out in my workshop woodturning which means that I seem to be out there quite a lot at times. I now have a Record Maxi 1 Lathe, which is quite a heavy machine, and capable of turning some quite large objects when the time comes. So I have had to move out of my shed and set up the workshop in the garage as I don't think the floor in the shed would take the weight of this new machine.
Most of my wood is sourced locally as much as possible and is also stored in the workshop and the garage, so I ought be getting on with some turning to make some more room. Having said that you never seem to have just the right bit of wood for a specific job.
I am a member of the Cornwall Association of Woodturners and have been for just over 6 years of which 3 of those I was membership secretary and I am also a member of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain. Being a member of both associations
has allowed me to meet socially with many other turners and have become
really good friends with all.
If there is anything in any of the galleries that you would like to know more about or would like to purchase then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Any items that you see here are for sale. However if you see something here that is aready sold another can be made for you but you must appreciate that no two pieces of wood are exacly the same and colours/ grain patterns will be different. I show some of my work at local
craft fayres for example at St Ives on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for taking the time to look around the site.
